“Mill Town / Mall Town Tour”

  • Bicycle Traveling Show
  • August 2006 variety!
  • possibility!

MUSIC PERFORMANCE PRESENTATIONS ACTIVITIES SERVICES the least predictable show of the summer!

***********************************************

The idea for the tour is to bring together artists, activists, & performers who share a love for community–building, experimentation, performance, & collaboration. The tour is a variety show of sorts: throat singing, touch synthesizers, collaborative theater, shadow play, acoustic music, & more. Basically, it is a caravan of people who are excited to share their art & make connections in this northeastern corner of our world. We are excited to make connections through art, conversation, performance, & service. We will be traveling & offering our skills & services as performers, musicians, workshop facilitators, & workers in varied community spaces in big cities as well as small towns. Tour participants are coming together from the Boston/Providence area as well as from Milwaukee & Baltimore. We will be performing in different venues in the region as well as volunteering in community organizations &/ events. For example, we will be doing work–trade at a few organic farms in MA & RI as well as helping with a children’s puppet parade in Wakefield, RI. Also, the tour will be bringing a variety of artwork (posters & zines) to exhibit, sell, or trade. The mega–list of participants is below.
