Sun - St. Marks Place between 1st and A, just west of the park.

As you well know, the Republicans are coming, and so is a tidal wave of creative resistance.

On Saturday and Sunday, August 21 and 22, The Change You Want to See art gallery in Williamsburg will relocate to the HOWL festival in the East Village. We will facilitate the production of art for the streets and the cultivation of a space for all to participate in shaping and showcasing the culture of resistance.

Ongoing open-air workshops will be held in banner-making, sign-painting, cardboard dove making (the Dove Project), horsecycle making (Greene Dragon), and more.

If you or your group has a project or ideas you’d like to see take shape, come join us. Bring materials if you have them…we’ll have many on site, and can always use more. This is a good place to network and exchange ideas and resources with other artists. We plan to bring whatever is constructed this weekend to the streets during the Republican National Convention.
